This is “Do-Overs and Don Quixotes, or The Impending Arrival of YES”, inspired by the color orange. Written by Beau McCoy and directed by Matt MacCready (my roommate!). I reeeeeeaaaally love this one. All of these have been cool, but this one really amazes me.
Blue and red have been released; purple still forthcoming.
I thought this rehearsal was going to be agony because we’re blocking the huge disgusting monster of a scene (“the BLOB”) with everybody in the whole cast onstage dancing and singing intermittently while the main characters talk (this scene is HALF AN HOUR LONG) and I don’t come in until two-thirds of the way through and I have three lines, and this director stops and works things frequently and goes waaaay back and runs it all over and over and I’ve been dreading tonight all week
but I think I might be the only one not in agony because I know I can sit here and I won’t be expected to do anything for a looooong time
Part 1 of 4 in The Color Series, a video poetry project, presented by Splintered Spark Collective!
This is “I Miss You or What I’m Really Trying To Say Is I Love You”, inspired by the color blue, written by Bradley Roa II and directed by Mieko Sudduth. This one was filmed on iPhones. And wow, I love it a whole lot.
Orange, purple, and red (written by me!) still forthcoming. One poem released per week, Thursdays. I am so excited to be a part of this, you guys.
