Part 3 of 4 in The Color Seriesa video poetry project, presented by Splintered Spark Collective.

This is “Do-Overs and Don Quixotes, or The Impending Arrival of YES”, inspired by the color orange. Written by Beau McCoy and directed by Matt MacCready (my roommate!). I reeeeeeaaaally love this one. All of these have been cool, but this one really amazes me.

Blue and red have been released; purple still forthcoming.

I have at least 5 snack wrappers in my back pocket because if for 90% of the time I’m not going to be onstage at all, I have to be doing something

birdwithapeopleface replied to your photo “I thought this rehearsal was going to be agony because we’re blocking…”

is this an act finale or what???

it’s not even, can you believe that

there are 21 people onstage right now. 17 of them are in a circle facing out, bent over, shuffling slowly and rhythmically around the center unit, miming talking to each other and pointing at things

is this night vale or

birdwithapeopleface two people have caught my eye and mimed shooting themselves in the head
I thought this rehearsal was going to be agony because we’re blocking the huge disgusting monster of a scene (“the BLOB”) with everybody in the whole cast onstage dancing and singing intermittently while the main characters talk (this scene is HALF AN HOUR LONG) and I don’t come in until two-thirds of the way through and I have three lines, and this director stops and works things frequently and goes waaaay back and runs it all over and over and I’ve been dreading tonight all week
but I think I might be the only one not in agony because I know I can sit here and I won’t be expected to do anything for a looooong time
tl;dr: hope you are having a good night
